That’s why the First Master Key Is – Mindset
Millionaires aren’t all that different from you.
In fact, many of them aren’t even as smart, as dedicated or as worthy as you are. But they all have one thing in common.
How they think.
While I’m sure you’ve heard of the Law of Attraction… how you think about building success and wealth has nothing to do with just thinking about it and attracting it into your life.
Sure… it sounds good. It sells well too. But I’ve yet to see anyone increase their bank balance by just wishing and hoping.
You actually have to get off your butt and create momentum.
And once you’ve got momentum… you’ve got to keep it rolling.
Sure, many people think changing their mindset is difficult. But the truth is change of any kind is what is difficult for them.
But how about this for a shocker… human beings were built to deal with change. Think about it. How much change have you seen in your lifetime? And yet you’ve dealt with it. You’ve adapted.
I know some people are very resistant to change. But if you want to build a 6 figure online business… you need to be able to adapt.
There’s an old saying… “The only thing constant in the Universe is change.”
If you’re serious about making a mint online, hang that saying up on your wall and look at it every day. Soon, even if you’re resistant to change… you’ll find that change finds YOU.
And once you decide to change – that’s when you start building momentum.
But it takes more than mindset to conquer the web, which brings us to…
Master Key 2
How many lists are you on that pummel your inbox with marketing magic pills? But I’ll bet by now you’ve weeded out the phoney baloney pitches, and you’ve found someone you resonate with…
But if you haven’t, you need to find YOUR trusted source to teach you how to make money online…
Both the Mike’s had trusted sources when we were learning. Guy’s like Gary Halbert, Mark Joyner, Mike Filsaime… and more. It can be 2 or 3 trusted sources at a time, but much more will overwhelm you.
Now… you don’t need this teaching in person. It’s just too expensive for most newbies to justify the cost. But high-quality information products WILL get you making money. (Of course you have to try the stuff out first!)
OK… I know it can be difficult to feel confident about who you trust to teach you. It seems like everyone just wants your money. Why can’t you just find out everything you know for free?
Well, here’s what I think. I’ve always been a fan of sowing and reaping. In other words, once you plant the right seeds… the crops will grow and soon you’ll be harvesting.
If you can find a small circle of trusted sources to guide you with the right information… at the right times – your life will get a whole lot easier.
And the best part is, once you’ve got the mindset straight, and you’re building momentum, you’ll start to see all of these Master Keys are interconnected. And that’s why you need all 4 working in harmony.

Master Key 3
This Master Key is all about shortcuts. Everyone loves shortcuts… especially the Two Mike’s!
When Mike Morgan was becoming a copywriting “guru” he didn’t have any products to sell. And Mike’s trusted source (list building guru Tellman Knudson) was teaching him to build his list… he gave Mike some sage advice.
Find someone else’s product that you can sell.
While that was not what Mike wanted to hear, he immediately saw the advantages. He would:
- Get to market a whole lot faster (and start building that valuable list!)
- Get the marketing converting quicker (He didn’t need to recreate the wheel…)
- Get valuable experience before investing a lot of time with his ultimate product
Sure, Mike wanted to personalize the product, so he created some killer bonuses that would instantly make the product “his own”.
In the end, it shaved MONTHS off of creating that important first product, and soon got his first few thousand list subscribers!
Okay… I’m sure you see how this makes sense.
But I’ll bet you have seen some of the junk resale rights products out there. However, there’s also some really good stuff too. All you need to do is sort through it to find a diamond or two.
And once you find “the right stuff” (and get it online) you’ll start making cash very quickly.
After you get a high-quality moneymaker up and running, that’s when you start making decisions about specializing.
Maybe you want to be an affiliate marketer.
Or perhaps you want to create your own products.
It doesn’t matter. You’ll still need a good “core” of skills to get to the next level. (Believe me… you don’t want to create your own product before you get this experience. The marketing lessons you learn selling someone’s high-quality stuff will pay off big!)
Now, the last Master Key is where the REAL money is at. But like I said before, unless the others are in place… you are making it hard on yourself…
Master Key 4
Many newbies go about things backwards. They look at products and not markets. They’re hungry for tactics before they’ve built strategies.
And many times, they start learning traffic, list building and conversion without any frame of reference.
(That’s exactly why Master-Key 3 is there. It’s about using shortcuts to build a foundation.)
And then you’re ready to move to Master-Key 4. This key starts to amplify the foundation you’ve built. (I told you these Master Keys were all interconnected!)
There’s no doubt, THE most leveragable skills on the Internet are traffic, list building and conversion. But you need a real, live, moneymaking site up and running to truly “get” these vital skills.
If you’re new to marketing, here’s how to eat the Elephant… one bite at a time.
The first leveragable skill you should learn is traffic. And with a live site up, once you learn a few tactics and implement them. Then you get the buzz of excitement when they work! (And if they don’t, you discover why… and fix it.)
Once you’ve put some “go-to” traffic tactics into your bag of tricks… then it’s off to list building. The cool thing about list building is you get INSTANT traffic!
And then you start learning conversion and copywriting skills. (This is where you REALLY prime the cash-pump… because once you’ve got traffic down, a list built – you copy gives you the most leverage.)
Look, don’t worry; you don’t need to be an expert in all 3 leveragable skills. That’s not the point.
However, every successful marketer the two Mike’s know are at least competent in all 3 skills of traffic, list building and copy/conversion.
That is a very important lesson for you.
Once you start to apply even more leverage in your business and outsource some of these skills, if you are competent, you’ll be much more successful choosing someone else who is competent. (Trust me, this is a BIG deal! I don’t know how many sad outsourcing stories I’ve heard that could have been avoided…)

I love the post you’ve created here. There’s lots of good advice. I too have been stalled, without momentum. I’ve lost sight of the goal. I think that’s one of the near fatal mistakes. With eyes on the goal, immediate results are much less relevant.
I learned a snippet of advice a week or two back – about deciding to increase 1%. Increasing anything by only 1% is easy to imagine. And once conceived and believed.. etc
